To some, ego death is the point of a macrodose psychedelic experience. We are born with processing tools within the mind that filter through our sensory inputs, absorbing the information necessary for survival. The main purpose of the ego is to protect our bodies; in fact, fight or flight is born out of this purpose. But

EGO DEATH – The temporary loss of attachment to the sense of oneself. EGO DEATH is a Jungian psychology term fundamental to transforming the psyche, also known as death of the ego, ego loss, and ego dissolution. It is a phase of self-surrender, transition, and self-identity loss. A feeling of being part of something larger than oneself, wholeness, and enlightenment.
